EL TIGRE WATERFALLS TRAILS + HIKING (COMPLETE TOUR)

This is the most complete option where you will experience the forest hiking without a guide through all the 4 big waterfalls, 10 bridges, and swimming pools in the river with no time limit! In the last section of the trail, which is up the hill, you will be able to ride horses, or if you prefer, we have a safari car 4x4 that you can use instead. At the end of the tour, you will have a delicious typical lunch. They have veggie and vegan options.

The walk is about 3 hours + 35 minutes of horseback riding or 10 minutes in a SUV, and the level of difficulty is intermediate-advanced. Technical difficulty in the trails, river crossings, and rock trails. The forest remains 90% virgin, so it is common to observe animals such as monkeys, snakes, peccaries, a variety of insects, birds, and others. 

El Tigre Waterfalls has a beautiful viewpoint that lets you see 4 volcanoes: Volcán Arenal, Volcán Rincón de la Vieja, Volcán Tenorio, and Volcán Miravalles. You can enjoy many waterfalls (including four that are really high) and also some hanging bridges. If the weather is nice, you can also see part of the Guanacaste Province and the Arenal Lake. We start the hike and eat the snack later next to the river. Please note that El Tigre offers transportation from Selina at $10 per person.

DEPARTURES FROM SELINA: 7:10 AM, 9:10 AM, 10:40 AM.

TOUR SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM, 10:00 and 11:30 AM. 

DURATION: 5 hours + transportation.

In the event that they do not meet this requirement, the tour will not be offered and we will work with you to book a different tour. (2) Tours may be canceled due to inclement weather, strikes, blocked roads, or any other reason beyond our control. (3) A client must cancel at least 48 hours in advance if they wish to cancel. Any reservation made less than 48 hours in advance must be canceled at least 8 hours in advance. (4) In the case of a cancellation by the tour operator, a refund will be offered to participating guests. (5) Selina is not responsible for any property or items lost during the tour. (6) For some tours / transportation / rental equipment, clients are required to sign a waiver at the Selina property.
